Fancy Rice
Fancy up your bowl of plain rice with Chilli Joy and a few ingredients. Have it with raw egg, fried egg or just by itself! I usually have this with a side of raw marinated fish, fried chicken, steak or vegetable side dishes.
Ingredients
- 80g raw sushi or jasmine rice
- 1 big teaspoon Chilli Joy
- 1 teaspoon light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chopped spring onion + 1 teaspoon oil from Chilli Joy
- 1 tea spoon toasted sesame seeds
- black pepper
- chopped koriander (optional) and more chopped spring onion for garnish)
Instructions
- Wash and cook the rice as instructed on package.
- In a small sauce cup, mix light soy sauce and Chilli Joy.
- Lightly taost the sesame seeds and set aside.
- Chop the spring onion and koriander. Take 1 tablespoon of the spring onion and mix with the oil from Chilli Joy and season with black pepper
- When the rice is cooked and has rested at least 10 minutes we are ready to assemble. Take the spring onion oil mix and stir it into the rice while hot. put the rice in a bowl
- Drizzle the Chilli Joy and soy sauce mix on top of the rice
- Top with the remaining spring onion and koriander, followed by sesame seeds
- Enjoy!
